What is Make?

Make (formerly Integromat) is a visual automation platform that connects apps and automates workflows. Unlike simpler tools, Make uses a visual canvas where you can see your entire workflow as a flowchart, with branching paths, filters, and error handling built in. This makes it better suited for complex automations that need conditional logic.

How it relates to business automation

Make sits in the middle ground of business automation tools. It's more powerful than Zapier but still accessible to non-developers. It's particularly strong at data transformation, handling complex conditional logic, and processing data in batches. Many businesses use Make for their more sophisticated automations while keeping Zapier for simpler tasks.

When you might use it

Make is ideal when you need branching logic (if this, then that, otherwise something else), when you're processing data in bulk, or when you need more control over how data flows between systems. It's also more cost-effective for high-volume automations since pricing is based on operations rather than tasks.

How OpsWork can help

We design and build Make scenarios that handle real business complexity. Not just moving data, but transforming it, validating it, and routing it intelligently. We also help you decide when Make is the right tool and when you need something more robust.
